HOW DO I START

Download the graphics below to give you a jump-start on creating your foster-care ministry! The FAM Logo which stands for Family Advocacy Ministry (which also works for Fostering and Adopting Families) can be then placed on your church website, printed materials, screens, etc. There’s even files for large banners that can be opened in Adobe, edited with your church name, info, then sent to a local printer. This is a vital part of the 4th step: IMPLEMENT

  • The Pastor needs to embrace the vision for this ministry to begin. The someone needs to take the leadership lead FAM using the system we provide. That Pastor and that Leader, together, need to inform the church of the need at least every 8 weeks.

  • The Pastor and FAM Leader need to inspire people to action by telling stories of life-change that involve foster-care and FAM ministry. They can do this live and via video. Stories move hearts. Hearts move to action.

  • Instruct people HOW they can help. They can support a foster family by showing up every month to bring a meal, clean the house or watch the kids. Instruct people how to get certified with the state via Children’s Services or NonProfit alternatives such as NOAS.

  • Implement the tools we provide such as graphics, videos, socia media posts, physical banners, brochures, sign-up cards, in-person training and third-party resources.
