A PASTOR’S TESTIMONY
If there is ONE THING I am most proud of in terms of our ministry at our church, it would our foster-care ministry. I just feel like if we don’t actually care for hurting, marginalized people, what are we really doing? I don’t want to just have “good worship services.” I remember telling God that years ago. I’ve always wanted to make a genuine, tangible impact on society as a pastor. F.A.M. makes that possible! Hurting kids and teens are cared for. People who don’t know their lane at church find it by providing a meal or cleaning a house or providing respite care (extended babysitting) and of course the foster parents are the real heroes. They take in hurting children and love them and care for them and often help them reunite with their biological parents. We’ve seen 2 biological parents get saved at our church through F.A.M. WOW! Only God! Foster-care ministry provides a visible expression of the Gospel unlike any other ministry I know!
